Working with Barbara-Ann was truly a great experience. We were so pleased by this hard working individual that we would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell their house. All three of our kids LOVE Barbara-Ann, and believe me they are hard to please! You'll understand when I explain that one is a teenager and two are young adults. We believe we have been blessed by Barbara-Ann and are pleased that we have made a friend and experienced a very capable professional, who definitely has found her calling in serving others through her work. Buying your first home can be a daunting endeavour, but Shona and her team of professionals at Realty Executives First Choice made our experience both easy and enjoyable.

Being new to the city of Winnipeg, we had no idea on where or how to begin the process purchasing a home. From the open house to possession date was a mere 21 days, leaving us with a long list tasks and a very short period of time in which to get them accomplished.  My husband and I decided to try and sell our house using Comfree. We thought we would be able to sell it ourselves and save the commission. A Comfree employee came out to talk to us and take pictures of the house to use for their website. We also received some basic feature sheets for prospective buyers. And after that we were on our own. We paid for an ad in the Free Press and posted one on Kijiji. We were not given a proper appraisal and we priced it much higher than we should have. We showed the house a number of times, mostly to curious neighbours. We received one low offer and ended up taking it off the market.

This spring we decided to hire the services of a real estate agent. We came across Realty Executives First Choice website and called Shona Goulden & Associates. Shona and John came to our house and we hit it off right away. We appreciated the way they conducted themselves in a friendly yet professional manner. We knew we could trust them with the sale of our home, which is very dear to us after living and raising three children in it for over 27 years. That’s a lot of memories! I can tell you with all honesty that they took care of every detail along the way for us. They always had time to answer our questions and address our concerns, with kindness and just the right amount of humour. We had several showings over five days, all qualified buyers this time, and the house was sold in less than a week. It’s obvious that it was priced perfectly, and marketed expertly. We had no idea it would be so easy for us.

A co-worker of my husband’s was having trouble selling their house with Comfree, so he told them about our experience with Realty Executives and Shona and John, and now they are on the verge of selling their house too. I know I will be referring them again and again because I know they will not be disappointed. They are so good at what they do, but more than that, they have very big hearts. It’s not what you might expect in the real estate business, but there you have it.
