HOMES FROM THE HEART

We feel that as successful real estate professionals we are indeed very fortunate. We are able to earn comfortable livings by assisting home buyers and home sellers with their transactions.  Many individuals in our communities are less fortunate. Many are living in crowded, sub-standard housing.  It is important that we give something back to the communities.

One of the hi-lights for Realty Executives First Choice was our 'Build Day' with Winnipeg's Habitat for Humanity and Homes From the Heart. We accepted the 'Adopt-A-Day' Challenge and our team helped with the post-build phase. There were 15 homes completed for families by the end of the year. 53 kids and their families will live in these 15 homes.

Building hope, Building Homes

REALTY EXECUTIVES International has embarked on an exciting program designed to help eliminate poverty housing in the communities we serve. Under the umbrella of REALTY EXECUTIVES Homes from the Heart we’re partnering with Habitat for Humanity International and other non-profit housing agencies to become actively involved in their community-based efforts.
What is the Homes from the Heart program?

REALTY EXECUTIVES’ Homes from the Heart program is an international effort created to involve our agents and brokers in raising funds.  These funds will be used to support community-based organizations that provide housing opportunities to needy families.

Committed to Change & Making a difference in the lives of their inner-city neighbours!

The Calcutta School of Belize

Our Vision for the Calcutta School in Belize began with Beresford's desire to enrich the lives of each student by providing seconday education.  Only 40% of children who graduate from primary school take admission to secondary school (grades 9+) due to low income and lack of scholarship programs. Beresford is the principal at the Calcutta school and his desire along with ours and so many others is to turn this vision into a reality, education is a road out of poverty.

It costs $350 cdn per year for each student to attend secondary school and for many families, this is not a possiblity.

Last year we had the privilege of providing education for Kelly, who is the oldest of 8 children, and lives in a small shack..this gave Kelly a positive environment with spiritual growth that she will now be able to pass on to her siblings . She was able to attend Calcutta's secondary Christian college and has hope for the future.

With very little opportunity for education, the need is so great and that's where you can make a difference. If you would like to contribute, please call Shona at  885-8999 or email shona@realtyexecutives.com

Catch us on CHVN in a live interview with Beresford, the Principal at the Calcutta School of Belize!

" Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Caython Phillips.  At present i am a student at the Belize Adventist Junior College.  Thanks to you guys for sponsoring me.  I really appreciate it.

I am a seventeen year old young man and I am a Seventh-day Adventist Christian.  My mom is a single parent and cannot afford my school tuition, so i am very thankful to you guys!  I want a better future for myself and my mom.  I am a bit behind with school work because  I started late but i am hanging in there!  I like the school because it is a Christian institution and it helps me to have a closer relationship with God.

Later I will send you a copy of my semester's report.  So thanks again and may God continue to bless you prosper you.

Sincerely yours,

Caython Phillips "
